SMALL BATHROOM STORAGE SOLUTIONS

Even though the bathroom should (ideally) be the cleanest room in the house, it's often the dumping ground for miscellaneous accessories, toiletries, linens, clothing, etc. This can especially be the case if you have a small bathroom with less than ideal storage solutions. Even if you're dealing with a small space, there are still solutions to help you maintain a sense of organization and order.

BONUS TIP: If you're dealing with a small bathroom space, the best policy is to have light walls! If your room currently has darker walls, try refreshing it with a new coat of paint before proceeding with these new storage solutions for optimum results.

Drawer Dividers & Containers

A little bit goes a long way, and drawer organizers are a game-changer for an affordable price point. Ikea has affordable drawer organizers here and here, and Amazon has a lot of options, too!

Baskets & Bins

Baskets and bins are another easy way to optimize small spaces by giving bigger items a home while remaining aesthetically pleasing. These banana leaf baskets on Amazon are a fun option, or if you prefer bins with lids for easy stacking, these bins look fantastic!

Over-The-Toilet Shelving

Often overlooked, the wall above the toilet offers one of the best storage solutions. If you don't already have a shelf or unit above your toilet, now is the time. It can be both useful and decorative.

Storage Ladder

It doesn't take up a lot of space, yet it's functional and beautiful - the storage ladder! Use it for hanging towels and washcloths to keep them off the floor and off other undesirable surfaces. Check out this affordable one on Amazon.

Hooks

Hooks - not only are they great for towels, but you can also use your imagination for more ideas to meet your specific needs. A few practical options include body brushes, loofahs, storage bags, and robes.

Countertop Organizers

Perfect for skincare products, makeup, jewelry, and so much more, countertop organizers are a space saver. Instead of letting clutter accumulate, give all your accessories a place to land at the end of the day. Two beautiful yet different ideas are this gold countertop organizer and this bamboo makeup storage case

Over-The-Door Storage

The back of the bathroom door AND the inside of your cabinet doors are often wasted space, but if you incorporate over-the-door storage, you are optimizing all that vertical space. You can also utilize 3M hooks, etc. if that works better for you. Here are two great examples for a door organizer and 3M hooks.

Toilet Paper Storage

If you don't want to use precious cabinet space for storing toilet paper, it's a great idea to give it its own space. Whether it's hanging in a bag (like shown above) on those aforementioned hooks, or you have some extra floor space for a freestanding holder like this one, sometimes getting toilet paper out from under your cabinet is enough to solve some of your storage issues.
