Rocky Ridge is located at the western edge of the city, and is bounded to the north by Country Hills Boulevard, to the east by Rocky Ridge Road, to the south by Crowchild Trail, and to the west by Twelve Mile Coulee Road. The land was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1989 and was officially established in 1998.
There are many benefits of living in Rocky Ridge, such as the Rocky Ridge Ranch Centre, the community centre, Rocky Ridge parks, and nature pathways. Community schools include Calgary International Montessori Academy, Rowen Domingo, and other schools in the sister community of Royal Oak. There's also a pedestrian bridge from Rocky Ridge over to the Tuscany LRT station for convenient use of public transit.
